Every Employer has a moral and legal obligation to make first aid provision for their staff and any one else who accesses their services. In October 2009 the HSE (Health & Safety Executive)  implemented changes to First Aid at Work which effected  employers

  2. Emergency First Aider at work - 1 day course

First Aid Training Courses

First Aid at Work (FAW) – Initial (HSE approved)

This comprehensive, HSE approved, 3 day first aid at work course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty.


First Aid at Work – Re-qualification (HSE approved)

A 2 day, HSE approved course available only to qualified FAW First Aiders who wish to renew their First Aid at Work certificate.



Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE approved)

This HSE approved, 1 day training course is for people who are required to act as an Emergency First Aider at Work. The course is designed to equip learners with the skills to take charge and deal with an emergency effectively until help arrives; with emphasis on preventing the casualties condition from worsening and maintaining the life of the casualty.


Annual First Aid Refresher (HSE recommended)

The HSE strongly recommend that First Aiders at Work and Emergency First Aiders at Work attend this a 3 hour first aid refresher training course annually. This ensures that first aiders do not lose thier skills over the three year period of their qualification.

Early Years (Paediatric) First Aid

This comprehensive 12 hour paediatric first aid course has been designed specifically for individuals who provide care for babies and children under 8 years old. The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2005) and meets Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.


Peadiatric Emergency First Aid

This basic 1 day paediatric emergency first aid  course is designed for anyone who wants to learn about first aid and has a professional involvement or cares for children and babies. 

Automatic External Defibrillator

This comprehensive 4 hour AED course covers the core competencies of the UK Resuscitation Council for AED training and is designed to teach learners how to use an AED.
